Asian Gasoil established in 1994 is one of the leading importers of fuel oils and lubricants in the Maldives. The Company specializes in the retail and wholesale of fuel oil products, with one of the largest retail networks of over 22 retailers and a presence in almost all of the atolls in the country.

Asian Gasoil makes bulk deliveries to supply the needs of resorts across the Maldives and occupies the largest share of the market in bunkering.

The Company has developed a highly efficient distribution network that covers the length and breadth of the Maldives and continues to invest in logistics and infrastructure in order to deliver its services with reliability to customers anywhere in the country.

With two supply vessels stationed in the north and south of the country and a fleet of smaller delivery vessels and barges, Asian Gasoil offers its customers the assurance they need in terms of timely delivery and the capacity to meet their regular demand as well as their immediate and most urgent needs.

Asian Gasoil offers a comprehensive range of related products and services from tank and pipeline design to consultation in the development of fuel storage infrastructure, and from retail of equipment and accessories to professional tank cleaning services. The Company also provides mobile storage tanks for resorts under construction and those with temporary storage requirements.

Asian Gas Oil has been an authorized agent for Caltex lubricants since 2011 and offers the complete range of Caltex products directly and through the Company’s retail network.

The Company is ISO 9001 certified for quality, safety and service standards.


The company’s main focus is to provide marine repair and general engineering services in Maldives.

Residential Property Development

With the launching of the sale of Platinum Residences, Coastline Investments has opened a new frontier in residential properties in the Maldives. It is a property designed to offer luxury living, removed from the crowded streets of Male’, yet easily accessible from the capital, the international airport and the surrounding islands.

The first phase of the project has been completed with 32 apartments. All properties were sold at launch and are being used by their owners today.

Phase two of the project which consists of 46 units  has been completed by March 2013, All properties were sold and being used by their owners today.

Phase three of the project also successfully completed with 47 units.  All properties were sold and being used by their owners today.

Platinum Residences stands in a class of its own and is the first and only development of its kind in the country.

The success of the project demonstrated the ability of the Group to gauge the trends in the market and its capacity to venture into new segments.

Platinum Real Estate Development (PRED) is a joint venture between Coastline Investments and Platinum Capital Holdings Pvt. Ltd. formed in September 2009, to develop and operate real estate properties in the Maldives.

Boat Building

Al Shaali Marine Maldives is one of the leading boat builders in the Maldives. Incorporated in December 2006, it is a joint venture between the renowned Al Shaali Marine of UAE and Coastline Investments.

From its factory located in Thilafushi, ten kilometers from Male’, Al Shaali builds a range of speedboats to suit the Maldivian waters and also offers a range of dhonis designed to suit the varying needs of its customers; designed to be used as diving boats, passenger transport and even for sports fishing. The factory also offers the complete range of maintenance services.

With Al Shaali, Coastline brings to the market a tradition of high quality boat building and years of experience in international markets. Al Shaali UAE is the marine division of the Al Shaali Group whose businesses range from steel and glass to education and real estate, from transportation services to petroleum products and from construction to real estate development.

From its factory based in Ajman, Al Shaali produces a range of 20 different models of boats and yachts using the latest technology and featuring the latest in passenger comfort and navigational safety.

Airport & Resort Development

Coastline is the largest private sector airport developer in the country having one airport already completed and operational and two more in the pipeline.

With the opening of Dharavandhoo Airport in Baa Atoll in 2012, Coastline has offered a level of convenience never before experienced by resort operators and residents of the atoll.

For the first time, resort operators has the ability to offer their guests, transfers from Male’ International Airport any time during the day or night, seamlessly connecting with international arrivals. For the residents of Baa Atoll, Dharavandhoo Airport has brought in a new era of development through a huge leap in accessibility for ordinary residents, businesses and for commerce and development.

The operation of Dharavandhoo Airport was handed over to Island Aviation under a Management Contract in October 2012.

The airport in Ifuru, Raa Atoll with a runway of 1200 meters is currently under construction and is expected to be complete during 2013. Next in line for development is an airport in Noonu Atoll.


The Resorts and Hotels sector is one of the fastest growing lines of business in the Group.

Amillafushi is a luxury 7 star resort and residences located in Baa Atoll Maldives, opened  2015.

Finolhu is the latest 5 star resort opened in June 2016 located in Baa Atoll Maldives.

Mudhdhoo Island Resort, a property owned and developed by Coastline Hotels and Resorts was sold to Dusit Thani in July 2011 with Coastline Investments Pvt. Ltd. holding a minority interest in the resort. The resort was opened in September 2012 as Dusit Thani Mudhdhoo, a six-star resort with 100 keys and the newest addition to an elite list of resorts located in the pristine Baa Atoll.
